Methodology

To design the intervention (whether coaching, training, facilitation or consulting), the following process is used:
  1. Clearly identify the problem and define the Problem statement - This helps to understand what is actually required.  While most clients are able to state a requirement, there are frequently multiple undercurrents that affect this requirement, and unless addressed and planned for, they will continue to affect the situation.  This can be done through surveys, interviews or past data.
  2. Customize the intervention in line with the above - This can include special questionnaires, personality assessments, specifically designed facilitation processes.  At this stage, alignment of deliverables is ensured.
  3. Delivery / execution of the intervention - All interventions end with action plans and responsibilities are clearly identified along with timelines.
  4. Followup Stringent followup on the execution of the action plans is done as planned.  This is critical as it would not be advisable to expect a change in behaviour (and therefore a change in results and impact on deliverables) just because someone went through an intervention.

The time for each step varies according to the first step, viz. diagnosis.
